Details: From The Met x Eichholtz. Four slender baluster-shaped legs and five drawers in a black waxed ebony finish with intricate detailing. Inspired by a Louis XVI period-style desk (ca. 1900-14) by Mewes and Davis, active in London and Paris from 1900, known through a watercolor over graphite drawing in The Met collection.
