Details

Cast metal with a bronze finish. Delicate foliate carving on the capital and an intricate torus base with a vegetal scale-like pattern, plus elegant ridged elements. Inspired by a marble column (ca. 300 B.C.) from the Temple of Artemis at Sardis in The Met Greek and Roman art collection, which stood over 58 feet tall in its original location. This capital is a slightly smaller rendition.
