Bronze finish. The design draws on a table (1890 to 1905) in The Met's American Wing, designed by Louis C. Tiffany (American, 1848 to 1933) for Tiffany Studios. The original bears aesthetic references to collapsible ancient Greek and Roman stands, as well as Near Eastern sources in its tapered legs. Furniture by Tiffany Studios counts among the most eclectic and innovative designs created between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
