Natural teak weathers over time, and the weathering process varies with climate, exposure to the elements, and care and maintenance. Teak expands and contracts with changes in climate, and its density and high oil content help prevent rotting while resisting fungus and most wood boring pests. Cushion covers are made of water repellent and sunproof materials.
