Natural teak weathers over time, and the weathering process varies with climate, exposure to the elements and commitment to care and maintenance. Teak expands and contracts with changes in climate. Teak is dense and has a high oil content; the natural oils prevent rotting and provide resistance to fungus and most wood boring pests. Use of a teak sealer is recommended (not included). To avoid mold and mildew, set cushions aside prior to inclement weather, and set wet cushions aside to dry after use.
