Included cushion covers are made of water repellent and sunproof materials. Teak is dense with a high oil content, and those natural oils prevent rotting while providing resistance to fungus and most wood-boring pests.

Natural teak weathers over time, with results varying by climate, exposure to the elements, and commitment to care and maintenance. Teak expands and contracts as the climate changes. A teak sealer is recommended (not included). To avoid mold and mildew, set the cushions aside prior to inclement weather. After use, wet cushions should be set aside to dry. Do not leave the covers out in the rain or near sprinklers.
