Details

Meticulously crafted by seamlessly blending two hemispherical halves, with a serene sand finish and a delicate peach glaze that arrives as an unexpected gift of the firing process. Inspired by an 18th-century Korean porcelain moon jar in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Moon jars were popular in the 18th and 19th centuries during the Joseon dynasty (1392 to 1910) and were typically crafted in two halves and then joined by hand.
