Base design echoes the organic geometry of a historic column capital in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a papyrus-motif capital that once crowned a kiosk column before the temple of Amun at Hibis in Egypt's Kharga Oasis, dating to 380 to 343 BCE. Part of The Met x Eichholtz collection.
