Alexander Wilson, the Scottish-American poet, naturalist and illustrator heralded as the Father of American Ornithology and a predecessor of John Audubon, illustrated 268 birds in all, 26 of which had not been previously described; multiple species share a plate as a result of the small budget he had to work with. Printed on archival paper and arrives framed in wood moulding. Not eligible for discount.
