Inspired by the decorations on an ancient Greek terracotta calyx-krater, a bowl for mixing water and wine, in The Met collection. Reimagined with a pristine white finish. Historic provenance: the original calyx-krater dates to about 460 to 450 BCE and is attributed to the Painter of the Berlin Hydria. It depicts an Amazonomachy, the legendary battle between the Greeks and the Amazons, a mythological race of female warriors, and a popular subject in Greek pottery.
